Guidelines for Lab Rotation
Students are required to participate in at least two laboratory rotations in different labs of MBAS program in the first year (2 credits).
The duration for each rotation can span at least 9 weeks. Students should continuously rotate in the chosen labs till find a permanent lab.
The lab PI will assign one short project to rotation students depending on the duration of stays and the agreement between students and lab PI.
The lab PI will evaluate the student after the rotation. The student’s academic mentor will based on the evaluation form from the lab PI and a two-paged written report submitted by the student to give a grade at the end of the semester. The format of the two-paged report should include:
1) one cover page with a title of the report, names of student and laboratory PI,
2) an introduction to the work in laboratory rotation (0.5 pages),
3) results and discussion or remark (1.5 pages).
Students are required to consult with their academic mentors for the planning of their lab rotations. 6. The rotation records (evaluation forms) and grades will be collected by the MBAS Office at the end of the semester.
